acting classes
scene study for high school & college actors
Led by actor, director, producer, and theater teacher Gordon Carmadelle, students will learn a foundation for their acting. Students will learn multiple techniques to find what works best for them, including Meisner Technique, Atlantic Acting School, and others.
Classes are designed for the high school or college actor who's looking to develop a repeatable, reliable technique for breaking down a scene or a monologue, and delivering an emotionally authentic performance. Actors will begin each session by presenting a monologue of their choosing, and as the sessions progress, they will be paired with another student for in-depth scene work. We'll also explore improv techniques to help free the actor to give their most authentic performance.
Each 8-week session will culminate with a showcase of both their monologue and a scene, and this presentation will be open to family and friends. Students can elect to sign up for the next session to continue their training.
